Dear Guests and Users!
Dear client, partner, each interested and loyal guest of our website! I sincerely welcome you and with great joy and pride wish for our fruitful and inspiring cooperation!

The story of MFO Bereke began in 1997 with a wonderful mission - to help develop the projects of the self-employed and low-income population through provision of economic support in the form of small loans. As part of a program initiated by the UNDP (United Nations Development Program), MFO Bereke became the pioneer in the history of microlending in the country. The first beneficiaries of the lending program were the first women entrepreneurs, residents of villages and small towns, the first dreamers and pioneers, entrepreneurs of then still very young Kazakhstan.

MFO Bereke from the very beginning until now has been and remains a witness to development and growth of our clients and our partners. Step by step, Bereke itself is growing. In 2014, Bereke was reorganized into a microfinance organization and today has more than 20 branches in 4 regions of Kazakhstan. The trust of clients, transparency, and the great mission of MFO Bereke to improve the wellbeing of Kazakhstanis through financial support and improvement of financial literacy of entrepreneurs have allowed us to grow steadily. And I am grateful to everyone who has been with us throughout this journey.

Today is the time for Bereke to dream bigger in order to even further support our friends, partners, our clients. It is a great honor for us to be an instrument for growth of the country’s economy, through supporting and promoting the growth of entrepreneurship.

To each of us, everyone who walks with us along this inspiring path, I wish only victory!

With gratitude, Chairman of the Board of MFO Bereke
Sincerely,
Chairman of the Board of MFO Bereke
Zhumagul Beisembayevna Khairlybayeva

The story
Microfinance organization Bereke is a story that began more than 25 years ago, at the origins of microlending in Kazakhstan, and continues to delight its clients today. This story began thanks to the initiative and support of UNDP (United Nations Development Program) in 1997-1998. Since then, Bereke has become a reliable partner for thousands of entrepreneurs and self-employed people in Kazakhstan.

The main goal of Bereke microcredit programs is fighting the poverty and improving the quality of life of the population. Economic support through small loans has become a key factor in development of entrepreneurship in the regions. Particular attention was paid to supporting the development of agriculture, rural sector and trade, which became a quick source of income for many families.

One of the Bereke’s features was its attention to women entrepreneurs of the Semipalatinsk region. The organization provided the first microloans to women from the Karaul village, helping them start and develop their business. Creating a continuous access to loan funds was the key to successful development of their business.

Today, Bereke is active in four regions of Kazakhstan and has more than 20 offices. The organization continues its mission, remaining a key participant in the microfinance sector of Kazakhstan. The Bereke’s story is one of perseverance, entrepreneurial spirit and positive impact on the lives of many people in the region.
